RePost: Good Eating | Finding a Comfort Food for the Mind–Gretchen Rubin

I thought this article couldn’t have come to me at a better time. After a particularly stressful week and trying to diet before a great getaway, I felt like I just couldn’t breathe and get through things.

Finding those little things to take some comfort in, I made a list of five quick items that I felt like would get me to this “mental comfort food” state of mind.

So I went home, took a bubble bath, played with puppies, watched pointless television, had a nice glass of wine and breathed until it slipped from my conscious.

So if you’re feeling overwhelmed, give yourself some mental comfort food. By giving yourself a break and a bit of comfort, you’ll make yourself feel better, and you’ll also equip yourself to deal more effectively with tough situations.
