I know deep inside that something I’m doing in my life today will be a “big thing” later on. One day, when I’m old and grey (er, brunette thank you L’Oreal Preference)….I’d like to know that I made a significant impact on the world. I mean, I’m blessed with the amazing people in my life now who say I make a difference, but I want to make like a BAM! DIFFERENCE!
This week my work team is traveling to a different location and I’m in the office putting together our plans for next year. Undoubtedly, I have an amazing team, and making a difference at our company truly means something to me. Perhaps that’s part of why I’d like to be a CEO one day – to make a large impact.
This group of women made a large monetary impact, and it’s definitely something to shake a stick at there, but even more so – it’s the way that they did it that impacted me so much. Quietly, as a team bonded by a true passion for what they were doing. Sometimes we don’t have to make a big splash, to actually make a big splash. I’d like to look back one day and know that I made a large impact, to see the effect I had on the world, and know that I left it a better place.

And that million dollars they once wished for? They’re almost there. In the last 35 years, the 9 Nanas have contributed nearly $900,000 of happiness to their local community.
